Cricket 19 PC Game

Cricket 19 PC Game

Update: 10/24/2015 – I am pleased to announce that a lot of the bugs have been fixed. Thanks to all who provided support, constructive criticism, and so on. Also thanks to those of you who updated your settings so I could see your games. The game should be much better now.

Update: 9/15/2015 – As some of you have noticed, Cricket 19 has seen a bunch of updates over the last week or so. I’ve had my game running fine for a week now. It’s a much better game, for sure. However, I’ve noticed one major bug. As the game plays it will randomly switch the sound off for both batsmen. Once the sound is off, it won’t come back on again. One of the only ways to get it working again is to restart your PC and set the sound to auto.

I’m hoping Cricket 19 can just get its sound setup right, but if anyone knows how to fix it, let me know. I may have a fix to send out. Update 9/10/2015 – As promised, I’m posting my review of Cricket 19.

Hopefully the game will get a little more stickability, but overall it is definitely worth your time. Update 9/8/2015 – Cricket 19 is out today.

I’m not sure yet if I’m playing, as I just got the game last night and am going to play it tonight. This is a game that a lot of people were really excited about, so I’m sure I’ll have lots of comments.

This game does seem to work quite well in widescreen though.

That’s always good news! For those who are wondering, the audio isn’t quite ready to play yet. I may post my review tomorrow. All I’ve heard is a random sound or two, which isn’t much. I did expect this as I had no other reason to expect anything. Update 7/17/2015 – Just to clarify – I did update Cricket 19 to a pre-release version. However, I have not installed or played any of the game yet. I’m just really excited about it.

Update 7/14/2015 – I’ve added a new game play video and a new video showing all the cricket balls that fly. In addition to this I’ve updated the build to include cricket tactics tips and a couple minor bug fixes. My player stats have also been updated. These are what I’m testing the game out with. My stats are the first set of games. I’ve updated my player stats and stats for new games as they’ve been added. I’ll be watching the games and adding them to the website for viewing on PC as they come in. There is still one issue that I’ve seen. As the game plays, sometimes my stats will disappear. I’ll be keeping an eye on that.

Update 7/13/2015 – As promised, here is a new video showing all the cricket balls that fly during a cricket match. Update 7/12/2015 – As I promised, here are some cricket tactics. These are for batting and bowling. Also, just a reminder that this game is still in the early stages. If anything is actually implemented, I’ll update this section. Also, just to make sure that everyone knows, there is a code in the game and in the instructions that does not allow you to play multiplayer. Some comments: I’m really happy with the graphics. I know some people will argue otherwise, but it looks better than I expected and better than my previous game.

The stadiums that are shown don’t look too bad, but they’re not close to real stadiums. One of the grounds that is shown looks like the one in the game of cricket that has the gorgeous green grass. I know this is a video game and no one cares about realism. However, I personally don’t really care about realism in a video game and I wanted to show how beautiful it looks. I do think the ground designs look pretty good and it looks like the stadium designs have been simplified slightly.

I also think some stadiums are underrepresented in the game. That being said, I think that a lot of what is in the game will get some real life updates. I’m sure the stadiums will look even better when the lighting is improved.

Cricket 19 is being developed by Hasbro subsidiary True Digital Concepts. The management team that co-founded the Sims and Chess brands has formed a new studio called True Digital Studios. They have re-imagined cricket for mobile gaming with a simplified gameplay, familiar cricket rules and teams, local leagues and national teams, international play and a live experience including score updates and in-game challenges.

Cricket 19 also includes licensed IP, including images, logos and likenesses of actual players and teams.

Hasbro says the game's timing in the market allows it to resonate with younger players who are becoming increasingly interested in cricket in the US and in other markets.

Vivek Sharma, executive vice president and general manager, Hasbro Gaming, said the strategic decision to introduce Cricket 19 into the market in this format was a move to reach a new generation of fans and engage with them in the game.

"Cricket 19 includes an easy-to-understand tutorial and easy-to-play skill-based gameplay for everyone. It also includes the iconic figures of cricketers like Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith and MS Dhoni who capture their persona. Players can use cricket bats, practice their shot selection and test their cricketing skills in immersive 3D stadiums," he said.

The game includes The Ashes series to highlight the cricket phenomenon in the US, he said, adding that Cricket 19 will also feature future matches and a global league with which players will compete for the top spot.

"Cricket 19 is set for a launch on April 24 on iOS and Android.
