Asphalt 9 Game

Asphalt 9 Game play very interesting Game play.

It looks like this will be another top-down game, like you’ve come to expect from Asphalt games. Despite not having been in a game for a while, Asphalt 8 still holds up well enough that I can say that it is one of the better racing games you can buy. As a matter of fact, Asphalt 8 has been downloaded close to 100 million times, so I’m not alone in thinking that the series is still fun to play. This is one of the reasons I’m glad we’re getting a new one. There will also be car customization, in-car camera features, multi-stage racing, and more. It looks like this will be quite a substantial update.

Here’s what I’m expecting in terms of graphics:

Pure Unreal Engine 4 in 1080p. With high detail textures, great dynamic lighting, and rain to help give the car a bit of water like effect, plus having it be ‘Retro’ themed, this should be enough to impress me.

Minimal visual effects. No slowdown, slight pop-in when driving, and no bloom.

EA Access trial – For some reason, it appears that EA Access for Xbox One only lets you download games for one week, after which you have to spend a month’s worth of Xbox Live time to unlock it. I find this strange. Anyway, at least for Xbox One, you will get an extra week of access on top of the normal trial.

Zero Gravity, Jet Blast, and Dirt Rush 3 – I’m not sure if I’ll be able to see these if I plan on getting the game on PC, but I’m sure there will be a way to access the demos.

Multiplayer matches on Xbox Live – Honestly, I’d love to play some multiplayer, but for some reason, I can’t seem to get it. I have an Xbox Live account that I used to purchase the PC version, but even that’s not working. I’m not sure if this is because I’ve had it for too long (it’s only been about three months), or if it’s just Windows 10 stuff. Maybe I’ll get a multiplayer-friendly Xbox One for PC later, but as it stands, this isn’t an issue.

Cheater: Xbox One or PC?

This one’s interesting, especially if you have PC gamers on the PC. I’m told by people that they will not be able to play multiplayer on the Xbox One version, unless they use a mouse and keyboard. The problem that this brings is if you plan to play the game using a controller. If this is true, it means that, if you are on PC, you will need to play the game with a mouse and keyboard in order to play multiplayer. Personally, I think this is a bit ridiculous, but the option is there.

How Much is Asphalt 9?

As of the time of this writing, we don’t know how much the game will cost on both PC and Xbox One. Considering that it’s a AAA game from EA, I would hope that it’s going to be pretty pricey.

Asphalt 9 release date – As of right now, there isn’t a date that has been announced, but it’s slated to be released later this year.

Asphalt 9 Game play

Asphalt 9 is a sports racing game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Some of the jumps and stunts found in the game can result in death if you're not prepared. There's some split-second timing required to make a maneuver.

There's no force feedback and no online multiplayer. So this is more of a portable racing game.

What you get for your money

Asphalt 9 costs $15.99 and you do get a lot of content. In the $15.99 base game, you get the title and four cars. In the $25.99 Ultimate Edition, you get the title and 10 cars, plus two game modes and free DLC.

Pros:

The game looks great on high settings.

There are a ton of tracks to drive on.

Fantastic physics and collision detection.

Controls are solid.

Cons:

It is a high-cost title and not for the faint of heart.

Not much in the way of multiplayer.

Asphalt 8 is the superior title for the price.

Verdict:

Asphalt 9 is not a title for everyone. If you've got some racing games under your belt and enjoy the genre, then it's worth checking out. Otherwise, get Asphalt 8 for a lot less.
